About Project

Adana City Training and Research Hospital was developed under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and provides healthcare services to Adana and the surrounding provinces.

Located on a 318,504 m² site in the Yüreğir district of Adana, the project has a total enclosed construction area of 553,426 m².

Following the project agreement signed between ADN PPP Sağlık Yatırım A.Ş. and the Ministry of Health in June 2013, and upon completion of construction, Adana City Training and Research Hospital began admitting patients in September 2017.

Under the agreement, ADN PPP Sağlık Yatırım A.Ş. is responsible for fulfilling its obligations throughout the 28-year project term, covering both the investment and operation periods. During the investment period, the company was responsible for detailed design, construction, procurement of certain equipment, and financing. During the 25-year operation period, it is responsible for operating and maintaining the hospital in coordination with the Ministry of Health. Responsibility for the delivery of healthcare services rests with the Ministry of Health. At the end of the operation period, the facility will be transferred to the Ministry of Health.

The project is an integrated healthcare campus comprising three hospitals with a combined capacity of 1,680 beds:

  • Main Hospital - 1,430 beds
  • Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital - 150 beds
  • High-Security Forensic Psychiatry Hospital - 100 beds

The Main Hospital consists of four blocks arranged around a shared core structure and includes the following hospital units:

  • Oncology Hospital - 382 beds
  • Cardiology and Cardiovascular Hospital - 299 beds
  • Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital - 369 beds
  • General Hospital - 380 beds

In addition to the hospitals, the campus includes healthcare support facilities, commercial areas, a technical service building, a helipad, and a trigeneration facility. Among the building's key technical features are the 1,512 seismic isolators installed in the Main Hospital, which enhance the building's resilience to earthquakes.

Adana City Training and Research Hospital holds LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certification, based on the green building rating system developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Under this certification, the project was evaluated against criteria including sustainable site and location, water efficiency, energy efficiency, materials and resources, indoor environmentalquality, and user comfort.

Adana City Training and Research Hospital serves more than 3.5 million people annually, making it one of the region's major healthcare centers. During the COVID-19 pandemic and following the February 2023 earthquakes , the hospital served as a key healthcare center in the region, helping ensure the continuity of medical services.

Supported by an experienced team of specialist physicians, resident physicians, general practitioners, and healthcare professionals, Adana City Training and Research Hospital contributes to the delivery of comprehensive, high-quality healthcare services.
